Noora Lori
Associate Director, BCARS

Co-Director, Initiative on Forced Migration and Human Trafficking, Boston University 
Dr. Lori's research broadly focuses on the political economy of migration and the development of security institutions and international migration control, specifically in the Middle East. 
Prior to joining the faculty at BU, Lori was an Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies.

Matthew O'Brien
International Project Manager, BCARS
 Matthew O'Brien is a graduating senior of the International Affairs program at Northeastern University. His coursework has focused on  Middle East history and Arabic language.
 
Matthew has previously interned at the European Public Law Organization in Greece and studied at the Amideast Institute and the Qasid Instutute in Jordan. He currently serves as BCARS's International Project Manager, where he assists in the organization and execution of various BCARS events and programs.
Amira Mohamed
Assistant Director for Policy & Practice, BCARS
Visiting Scholar, Northeastern University 
Dr. Mohamed's research explores the nexus between gender, migration, globalization, and development. Her work with several international development and humanitarian organizations has enabled her to acquire first-hand insights into the challenges surrounding migration. She has served as a program manager for the International Organization for Migration, and held academic positions at Clark University and the American University in Cairo.
